A delightful dish combining tender tilapia fillets with a rich lemon garlic herb sauce.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Tilapia fillets
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 Lemon
  • 1 teaspoon Dried herbs (such as parsley and thyme)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat until melted and hot.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let it burn.
  3. Season the tilapia fillets generously with salt, pepper, and dried herbs on both sides.
  4. Place the seasoned fillets in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Pour the lemon juice over the cooked fillets, allowing the flavors to meld for an additional minute.
  6. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve immediately for best flavor.

Notes

Don’t overcook the tilapia for the best texture. Fresh fish works better than frozen.
