Ingredients
Scale
- 4 Tilapia fillets
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- Juice of 1 Lemon
- 1 teaspoon Dried herbs (such as parsley and thyme)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat until melted and hot.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let it burn.
- Season the tilapia fillets generously with salt, pepper, and dried herbs on both sides.
- Place the seasoned fillets in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Pour the lemon juice over the cooked fillets, allowing the flavors to meld for an additional minute.
- Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve immediately for best flavor.
Notes
Don’t overcook the tilapia for the best texture. Fresh fish works better than frozen.
