Scale
- 1/4 cup Water (boiling)
- 1 Chai tea bag
- 1/4 teaspoon Chai spice
- 1/2 cup Milk (of choice)
- 1-2 tablespoons Maple syrup
Instructions
- Begin by placing the boiling water in a small bowl and steep the chai tea bag along with the chai spice for about 10 minutes.
- After steeping, carefully squeeze the tea bag to extract all the flavorful liquid while ensuring not to burn your fingers.
- Whisk the chai concentrate to mix the spices thoroughly.
- Heat the milk and maple syrup in a microwave or on the stove until it begins to steam (140-155 °F for dairy; 150 °F for plant-based milk).
- Froth the warmed milk using your preferred method—either with a handheld frother, in the blender, or whisk vigorously by hand.
- Pour the chai concentrate into your mug and top it with the frothed milk. Garnish with a sprinkle of chai spice, and enjoy immediately.
Notes
Use high-quality chai tea for the best flavor. For a dairy-free option, try almond or oat milk. Adjust sweetness to taste.
