Cozy, quick, and satisfying Salmon Rice Bowls with warm rice, flaky salmon, and a customizable punchy sauce.

Ingredients

  • Fresh or frozen salmon fillets
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Smoked paprika or chili flakes
  • Jasmine rice (or sushi, basmati, or brown rice)
  • Mayo
  • Sriracha
  • Soy sauce
  • Lime juice
  • Cucumber, sliced
  • Avocado, sliced
  • Green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Cook or reheat the rice, starting with fresh rice first.
  2. Season the salmon with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika or chili flakes.
  3. Cook the salmon: Pan method: heat oil in a nonstick pan on medium heat, cooking 3 to 5 minutes per side. Oven method: bake at 400°F for about 10 to 12 minutes.
  4. Mix the sauce of mayo, sriracha, soy sauce, and lime juice; taste and adjust.
  5. Build the bowls with rice first, then salmon on top, drizzle sauce, and add toppings like cucumber, avocado, and green onion.

Notes

For added flavor, flake the salmon into bite-sized chunks and toss with the sauce before adding to the rice.
