Instructions

  1. Combine the fresh rhubarb, sugar, and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Reduce heat and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rhubarb is completely broken down.
  3. Strain the mixture through a sieve to remove the solids, capturing the liquid.

  6. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens considerably.
