- 3 medium ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (190g)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup sugar (150g)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted (115g)
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup Nutella (150g)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl and set aside.
- Mash the bananas in a large bowl until smooth but slightly chunky.
- Add the sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla into the mashed bananas and mix until just combined.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture with a spatula until no flour pockets remain.
- Dollop half of the batter into the loaf pan, then spoon half of the Nutella over it. Add the remaining batter and finish with the rest of the Nutella.
- Swirl the Nutella through the batter to create marbled ribbons.
- Bake for 55-65 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick at 55 minutes.
- Cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Avoid overmixing to ensure a moist and tender crumb. Let the bread cool adequately to prevent a gummy texture.
