A delightful yet straightforward pasta dish featuring garlic, mushrooms, and cheese, perfect for quick weeknight dinners.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 8 ounces Spaghetti
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup Grated cheese (parmesan or other)
  • 2 tablespoons Mixed fresh or dried herbs
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted water according to the package instructions until it’s al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a small cup of pasta water.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until it’s hot.
  3. Add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms to the skillet, sautéing them until the mushrooms are tender and the garlic is fragrant, approximately 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. Toss the cooked spaghetti into the skillet with the sautéed garlic and mushrooms and stir to combine.
  5. Mix in the grated cheese and herbs, adjusting the consistency by adding a splash of the reserved pasta water as needed.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve hot, garnished with extra cheese or herbs if desired.

Notes

Reserve pasta water for a creamier sauce. Use zucchini noodles for a low-carb option.
