- 8 ounces Spaghetti
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup Grated cheese (parmesan or other)
- 2 tablespoons Mixed fresh or dried herbs
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted water according to the package instructions until it’s al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a small cup of pasta water.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until it’s hot.
- Add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms to the skillet, sautéing them until the mushrooms are tender and the garlic is fragrant, approximately 3 to 4 minutes.
- Toss the cooked spaghetti into the skillet with the sautéed garlic and mushrooms and stir to combine.
- Mix in the grated cheese and herbs, adjusting the consistency by adding a splash of the reserved pasta water as needed.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve hot, garnished with extra cheese or herbs if desired.
Notes
Reserve pasta water for a creamier sauce. Use zucchini noodles for a low-carb option.
