- 1 lb Fish fillets (cod or tilapia)
- 1/4 cup Butter
- 1 Lemon (zested and juiced)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
- 1 Egg (beaten)
- 1 clove Garlic (minced)
- 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter, then stir in the lemon juice and zest until combined.
- Season the fish fillets with salt and pepper to taste.
- Dredge each piece of fish in flour, dip it into the beaten egg, and coat it with breadcrumbs.
- Place the coated fish on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, then brush them lightly with the lemon butter mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- While the fish is baking, prepare the garlic aioli by mixing mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and paprika in a bowl until smooth.
- Serve the lemon butter fish bites with garlic aioli on the side for dipping.
Notes
Ensure even coating for the best crunch. Chill aioli for at least 30 minutes for better flavor.
