Delicious fluffy steamed buns filled with mouthwatering Korean chicken, perfect for gatherings and family dinners.

  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound Boneless chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup Korean BBQ sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame oil
  • 8 Bao buns
  • Sliced scallions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Start by marinating the boneless chicken thighs in Korean BBQ sauce, minced garlic, and sesame oil for at least 30 minutes to enhance the flavor.
  2. After marinating, heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the chicken thighs. Cook until they are golden and well cooked on both sides, about 6-8 minutes each side.
  3. While the chicken is cooking, prepare your bao buns by following the package instructions, usually by steaming for about 10 minutes until fluffy.
  4. Once the chicken is fully cooked, remove it from the heat and allow it to rest for a few minutes. Then, slice the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Assemble the bao by placing a generous portion of chicken into each steamed bao bun. Top with sliced scallions for freshness.
  6. Serve warm with extra Korean BBQ sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Experiment with sauces for variety.
