- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup molasses
- 1 cup hot water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
- Stir in the molasses.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, alternating with hot water until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
