- 8 tablespoons (1/2 cup) softened butter, divided
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 4 tablespoons heavy cream (or milk + butter)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- Preheat the oven to 350°F and melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a pie plate.
- Stir the brown sugar into the melted butter until well combined, then cover the pie plate’s bottom evenly with this mixture.
- Unroll the Pillsbury Crescent Rolls and pinch the seams together to create one large sheet of dough.
- Spread the remaining softened butter over the dough evenly.
- Mix the white sugar and cinnamon together, then sprinkle this mixture generously over the buttered dough.
- Roll the dough back up into a log and cut into 8 equal-sized cinnamon rolls.
- Place the rolls into the prepared pie plate and sprinkle them with any leftover cinnamon sugar.
- Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Prepare the icing by mixing the powdered sugar, heavy cream (or milk + butter), and vanilla in a bowl until smooth.
- Drizzle the icing over the warm rolls once they come out of the oven, then serve immediately.
