Delightful appetizer combining flaky phyllo dough with creamy feta and ricotta filling, enhanced with fresh parsley and a hint of chili, drizzled with sweet honey.

Ingredients

  • 1 package phyllo dough
  • 8 oz feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1-2 tablespoons chili flakes (to taste)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix together crumbled feta cheese, ricotta cheese, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Take a sheet of phyllo dough, brush it with olive oil, and lay another sheet on top.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture at one end of the phyllo and roll it up tightly, tucking in the sides.
  5. Arrange the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. In a small saucepan, heat honey with chili flakes until warm.
  8. Drizzle the chili honey over the baked rolls before serving.

Notes

Keep the phyllo dough covered to prevent drying out. Can use goat cheese instead of feta for different flavor.
