Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt, divided
  • 1 Large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Water
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 Large sweet onion, cut into 1/2 in thick rings
  • Cooking spray, to coat

Instructions

  1. Mix together the flour, smoked paprika, and 1/4 teaspoon of kosher salt in a shallow dish.
  2. Beat the egg with water in another shallow dish.
  3. Combine panko breadcrumbs and the remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt in a third dish.
  4. Dip each onion ring into the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, and finish with the panko mixture.
  5. Coat both sides of the onion rings lightly with cooking spray.
  6. Place the onion rings in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook at 375°F for about 10 minutes, flipping at the 6-minute mark.

Notes
