Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 cup cooked shredded chicken
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • Butter for grilling

Instructions

  1. Mix the shredded chicken with BBQ sauce until well coated.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Layer the BBQ chicken mixture and sprinkle shredded cheese on the unbuttered side of one slice.
  4. Place the other slice of bread on top, buttered side facing out.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the skillet.
  6. Grill until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side, and the cheese is melted.
  7. Slice and serve warm.

Notes
