Ingredients

  • Ripe bananas: 2
  • Rolled oats: 2 cups
  • Cinnamon: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Honey or maple syrup (optional): 1/4 cup
  • Almond milk or milk of choice: 1/4 cup
  • Vanilla extract: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Nuts or chocolate chips (optional): 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking dish by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Combine the mashed bananas with rolled oats, cinnamon, honey or maple syrup (if using), almond milk, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  4. If desired, fold in nuts or chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  6. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

These bars are customizable; add nuts for protein or chocolate chips for a treat. They can be made gluten-free by using certified gluten-free oats.
