- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup melted butter

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Mix in the melted butter until well combined.
- Add the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt, incorporating thoroughly.
- Gradually add the flour, mixing until just incorporated.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts (if using).
- Pour the batter into the muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
- Bake for about 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor. Store in an airtight container for up to three days, or freeze for up to three months.
