A refreshing Apple Iced Tea with sweet and tangy flavors, perfect for warm days.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon loose black tea leaves (or 1 tea bag)
  • 10-12 fresh mint leaves (plus more for garnishing)
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 cup apple juice (or apple-flavored soda)
  • 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • Ice cubes as required

Instructions

  1. Combine the water, loose black tea leaves (or tea bag), fresh mint leaves, and sugar in a medium-sized saucepan. Turn the heat to medium-high and allow it to heat up.
  2. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about one minute once the water begins to boil.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat, then strain the tea mixture into a measuring cup or pitcher. Let it cool down for about 10 minutes.
  4. Fill two tall glasses with ice and add about 4-5 mint leaves into each glass.
  5. Pour ½ cup of apple juice (or apple-flavored soda) and ½ cup of the brewed tea into each glass.
  6. Add 1 teaspoon of freshly squeezed lime juice into each glass. Stir quickly to blend the flavors and garnish with apple slices and lemon wedges. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use fresh mint leaves for the best flavor and feel free to adjust sugar levels to your taste.
