Ingredients
Scale
- 1 small head Cauliflower
- 1/2 cup Almond flour
- 1/2 cup Rice crumbs
- 2 Eggs, whisked
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 1/2 tsp Sea salt
- 1/4 tsp Pepper
- 3/4 cup BBQ sauce
- Green onion (optional) for garnish
Instructions
- Chop the head of cauliflower into small pieces, ensuring they are not too big or too small for even cooking.
- Place the whisked eggs in one bowl and mix the almond flour with the garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt, and pepper in the other.
- Coat each piece of cauliflower in the egg mixture, then roll it in the almond flour mix until fully covered.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and arrange the coated cauliflower pieces in a single layer in the basket. Cook in batches if necessary.
- Cook the cauliflower for 8 to 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
- Transfer the cauliflower to a large bowl and add BBQ sauce. Toss to combine.
- Return the cauliflower to the air fryer and cook for an additional 4 to 5 minutes until the sauce sticks and caramelizes slightly.
- Garnish with green onions and serve hot.
Notes
Do not overcrowd the air fryer for best crispiness. For a healthier option, use gluten-free breadcrumbs instead of rice crumbs.
