Indulge in the delightful and comforting taste of egg tarts this Christmas, featuring a delicious custard filling in flaky tart shells, enhanced with strawberry jam.

Ingredients

  • 140g milk
  • 34g granulated sugar
  • 100g beaten egg
  • 16g condensed milk
  • 120g heavy cream
  • 12 pre-made egg tart shells
  • Strawberry jam (for filling)

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk slightly and dissolve the sugar in it.
  2. Combine the milk mixture with beaten egg, condensed milk, and heavy cream.
  3. Strain the mixture to achieve a smooth custard texture.
  4. Add a spoonful of strawberry jam into each tart shell.
  5. Pour the custard mixture into the tart shells until 90% full.
  6. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F) and bake for 20-25 minutes until the edges turn golden.
  7. Allow to cool before serving warm or at room temperature.

Notes

These tarts are best enjoyed the day they are made but can be refrigerated for up to 3 days. Experiment with different jams for unique flavors.
