- 3 medium ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond butter
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup vegan dark chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Mash the ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth. Add almond butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Mix in the cocoa powder, baking soda, and sea salt until smooth. Gently fold in vegan dark chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for about 25 minutes or until the center is set, and a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
- Allow to cool completely before slicing into squares and enjoying.
Notes
These brownies are perfect on their own but can be enhanced with a sprinkle of cinnamon or chopped nuts. Pair with coconut ice cream or almond milk for a delightful treat.
