- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg, for egg wash
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the heavy cream and vanilla until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chopped strawberries.
- Knead the dough gently on a floured surface until it comes together, then shape it into a circle about 1 inch thick.
- Cut into wedges or use a round cutter and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Enjoy warm with a cup of tea!
