- 4 chicken thighs
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons Baharat spice blend
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs for garnish (parsley or cilantro)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a pan, heat olive oil and brown chicken thighs for 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Add onions and garlic; cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in Baharat spice blend and rice, then add chicken broth.
- Place chicken on top, season with salt and pepper, and cover to bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Remove from oven, let sit for a few minutes, garnish with fresh herbs, and serve.
Notes
Add vegetables or dried fruits for extra flavor and nutrition. Serve with a side salad or yogurt-based dip for a refreshing balance.
