Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons Baharat spice blend
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (parsley or cilantro)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a pan, heat olive oil and brown chicken thighs for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  3. Add onions and garlic; cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Stir in Baharat spice blend and rice, then add chicken broth.
  5. Place chicken on top, season with salt and pepper, and cover to bake for 30-35 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven, let sit for a few minutes, garnish with fresh herbs, and serve.

Notes
