- 4 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet Ranch dressing mix
- 1 packet Au jus gravy mix
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup Pepperoncini peppers
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Begin by placing the chicken breasts at the bottom of your slow cooker.
- Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix evenly over the chicken.
- Cut the unsalted butter into small pieces and position them atop the chicken.
- Add the pepperoncini peppers on top.
- Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 360 minutes (6 hours) or high for 240 minutes (4 hours).
- Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks right in the slow cooker.
- Serve the Mississippi Chicken on buns, mashed potatoes, or rice.
Notes
Feel free to experiment by adding shredded cheese or more pepperoncini peppers for extra flavor.
