Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 bunch Asparagus
  • 8 ounces Mushrooms
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Butter (or plant-based butter)

Instructions

  1. Begin by washing your asparagus under cool running water. Snap off the tough ends and cut into 2-inch pieces.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat, then add the chopped asparagus and sauté for about 3 minutes.
  3. Add the mushrooms to the skillet, tossing to combine. Sauté for an additional 5 minutes until tender, then stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Enhance the flavor by adding liquid aminos or soy sauce, stirring well. Season with salt and pepper, and sauté for 2-3 more minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and serve warm.

Notes

Choose fresh, green asparagus for the best results. You can swap the butter for plant-based butter to make it vegan.
