Ingredients

  • 250 g Strawberries
  • 600 ml Water
  • 4 tsp Red rooibos tea
  • 2 TBSP Honey
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla seeds (from one vanilla pod)

Instructions

  1. Bring 600 ml of water to a boil in a large saucepan.
  2. Add 4 teaspoons of red rooibos tea, cover, and steep for 10 minutes.
  3. Strain the steeped tea into a large jug, discarding the tea leaves, and let cool to nearly room temperature.
  4. Blend the strawberries into a smooth purée, straining if desired for a smoother texture.
  5. Stir in 2 tablespoons of honey into the cooled tea until fully dissolved, then mix in strawberry purée and 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla seeds.
  6. Serve over ice with fresh strawberry slices on top if desired.

Notes

Use fresh, ripe strawberries for best flavor. This tea stores well in the fridge for up to 3 days.
