Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring either milk or water to a gentle boil.
- Stir in the rolled oats and reduce the heat to medium-low.
- Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add pumpkin puree, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
- Allow to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until absorbed and thick.
- Serve warm with your choice of toppings.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use milk instead of water. Experiment with different sweeteners and toppings for unique variations.
