A healthy twist on the classic bagel, packed with protein and made from wholesome ingredients like spelt flour and lean quark.

Ingredients

  • 120 g Dinkelmehl (spelt flour)
  • 160 g Magerquark (lean quark)
  • 1 tsp Backpulver (baking powder)
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • Sesame & Poppy Seeds (for topping) to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Magerquark, Dinkelmehl, baking powder, and salt. Stir until a smooth dough forms.
  3. Divide the dough into equal parts, roll each part into a snake shape, and join the ends to create a ring.
  4. Sprinkle sesame and poppy seeds on top and press them gently into the dough.
  5. Bake for about 15 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
  6. Let cool slightly on a rack before serving.
