- 2 slices of Bread
- 2 slices of Cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or your choice)
- Pepperoni or other toppings, as desired
- Butter, as needed
- Pizza sauce, optional, for dipping
Instructions
- Start by heating a skillet over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread thoroughly.
- Place one slice of bread, butter side down, in the skillet. Then, layer your choice of cheese on top, followed by your selected toppings.
- Top with the second slice of bread, butter side up. Grill until the bottom is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
- Press down gently on the sandwich with a spatula to encourage uniform melting and browning.
- Flip the sandwich carefully and grill the other side until golden and the cheese has melted delightfully.
- Serve hot, with pizza sauce on the side for dipping if desired.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, consider adding sautéed spinach or artichoke hearts. This sandwich pairs well with tomato soup or crispy fries.
