- 8 cups fresh filtered water
- 6 regular-sized black tea bags (or 8 small tea bags)
- 3/4 to 1 cup granulated sugar
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices
- Fresh mint sprigs
Instructions
- Bring 8 cups of fresh filtered water to a near boil.
- Add 6 black tea bags to the hot water and stir gently.
- Once steeping is complete, remove the tea bags carefully.
- Dissolve 3/4 to 1 cup of sugar in the hot tea, stirring until fully dissolved.
- Let the tea cool to room temperature, about 20-30 minutes.
- Transfer the cooled tea to a pitcher filled with ice cubes and add lemon slices and mint sprigs.
Notes
For best results, dissolve sugar in hot tea and feel free to adjust sweetness to your taste. Experiment with other flavor add-ins like honey or fruits.
