Instructions

- In another bowl, whisk together orange juice, zest, egg, and milk until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just blended.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
- Spoon the batter into the hot oil, frying until golden brown on both sides (about 2-3 minutes per side).
- Remove from oil and let drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar or drizzled with a glaze.
