- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 8 small tortillas
- Toppings (optional): shredded cheese, lettuce, salsa, avocado
Instructions
- Start by browning the ground turkey in a large skillet over medium heat until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent, around 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the rinsed black beans, chili powder, cumin, and season with salt and pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Warm tortillas in a microwave or dry pan, then assemble tacos with turkey and bean mixture and toppings. Serve immediately.
Notes
Customize your toppings based on preference. Leftover filling can be refrigerated for up to three days.
