- 1 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Caramel Sauce
- 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 2 tablespoons Heavy Cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until fully combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of the greased baking dish.
- Bake the crust for 20 minutes until golden brown. Let cool, then pour the warm caramel sauce over the crust.
- In a saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate chips with heavy cream until smooth. Pour this mixture over the caramel layer. Allow to set until firm, then cut into bars.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, swap all-purpose flour with gluten-free flour blends or almond flour. Toppings can be customized with nuts or a sprinkle of sea salt.
