- 4 medium yams, peeled and chopped
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- Salt, for boiling water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Peel and chop the yams into bite-sized pieces.
- Boil the yams in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Test for doneness with a fork.
- Drain and transfer the yams to a baking dish, spraying it lightly with cooking spray.
- Mix the marshmallows, pecans, brown sugar, and melted butter in a bowl.
- Spread the mixture over the yams in the dish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown, keeping an eye on it to prevent burning.
Notes
For a vegan version, use dairy-free butter and marshmallows. Add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg for extra flavor.
