  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 12 cookies 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it’s hot and ready for baking.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the applesauce, rolled oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, honey, baking powder, and salt. Stir the mixture until well-combined.
  3. If you want to add some extra sweetness or richness, fold in the raisins or chocolate chips now.
  4. Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about two inches apart.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Keep an eye on them to avoid over-baking.
  6. Once baked, allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

Use ripe applesauce for more flavor. For a vegan option, substitute honey with maple syrup.
