A delicious blend of French toast and iced coffee, perfect for a refreshing morning pick-me-up.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla bean paste (or extract)
  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons Heavy cream (or plant-based cream)
  • 2 tablespoons Milk (or plant-based milk)
  • 1 tablespoon French toast syrup
  • 2 tablespoons French toast syrup
  • 6 ounces Milk (or plant-based milk)
  • 2 ounces Espresso (2 shots brewed or instant)
  • 2 tablespoons French toast cold foam

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the water, brown sugar, and maple syrup. Bring to a low boil and simmer for about 5 to 6 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and whisk in the butter, cinnamon, and vanilla. Allow to cool.
  2. Prepare the cold foam by mixing the cream, milk, and syrup in a sealed jar. Shake vigorously for 1 to 2 minutes until creamy. Refrigerate until chilled.
  3. To serve, fill a glass with ice, add 2 tablespoons of French toast syrup, pour in your chilled milk, followed by cooled espresso, and top with cold foam. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired. Enjoy!

Notes

For a vegan version, swap butter for coconut oil and use plant-based milk.
