Instructions
- Activate the yeast by whisking together warm water, active dry yeast, and sugar in a small bowl. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- Combine the flour and fine sea salt in a large mixing bowl, creating a well in the center.
- Mix the yeast mixture and olive oil into the well. Gradually incorporate the flour until a shaggy dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- First rise the dough in a lightly oiled bowl. Cover and let rise in a warm spot for 1.5 to 2 hours until doubled in size.
- Shape the dough by punching down, dividing it in half, and rolling each piece into a ball. Let rest for 10-15 minutes.
- Ready to use! Stretch, top, and bake at a high temperature until golden brown.
