Ingredients

  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and Italian seasoning to the yeast mixture and stir to combine.
  3. Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms. Knead for about 5 to 7 minutes on a floured surface.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the risen dough and shape it into a loaf or breadsticks.
  6. Place the shaped dough on a greased baking sheet and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let the bread cool slightly before slicing and serve as a side dish or for sandwiches.

Notes
