Instructions

  1. Prepare the pie crust by combining flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Cut in chilled butter until crumbly. Add ice water gradually, wrap, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  2. For the filling, combine cherries, sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook until thickened and cool.
  3. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Roll out the dough and cut into heart shapes. Fill half with cherry mixture, top with another heart, seal edges.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden. Dust with powdered sugar after cooling.
