Ingredients

  • 1 cup Black Beans
  • 1/2 cup Rolled Oats
  • 1/3 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1/2 cup Maple Syrup or Honey
  • 1/4 cup Almond Butter or Peanut Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a food processor, combine the black beans, rolled oats, cocoa powder, maple syrup, almond butter, vanilla, baking powder, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  3. If desired, fold in the chocolate chips. Pour the mixture into your prepared baking dish and smooth it out evenly.
  4. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let them cool completely before cutting into squares.
