  • 1/4 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Table Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon Cloves
  • 1/2 cup White Chocolate (optional)
  • Festive Sprinkles (optional, as desired)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the butter and 1/2 cup sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add molasses, vanilla, and egg; mix until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk the dry ingredients together.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Using a cookie scoop, roll dough into balls and coat in sugar.
  7. Place dough balls on sheets and bake for about 10 minutes or until edges are golden.
  8. Cool on sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. If desired, drizzle melted white chocolate and sprinkle with festive sprinkles.
