This delightful Garlic Butter Steak and Potatoes recipe combines succulent t-bone steaks with tender baby potatoes and aromatic garlic butter, making it a perfect meal for any meat lover.

  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 t-bone steaks
  • 1 pound baby potatoes
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Boil baby potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Once done, drain and set aside.
  3. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steaks with salt and pepper, then sear each side for 4-5 minutes until cooked to your liking. Remove the steaks and let them rest.
  4. Add the remaining butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until fragrant.
  5. Toss the boiled baby potatoes in the skillet to coat in the garlic butter sauce until warmed through.
  6. Serve the seared steak alongside the garlic butter potatoes, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Let the steak rest after cooking for maximum juiciness. You can substitute t-bone with ribeye or sirloin if desired.
