Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion becomes translucent.
- Stir in the chopped cabbage and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the rice, oregano, broth, salt, and pepper to the pan. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer until the rice is cooked and has absorbed the liquid, about 15 to 20 minutes.
- Fluff the rice with a fork, adjust seasoning if necessary, and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
Notes
Ensure cabbage is well-coated in oil for better flavor. Use brown rice for added nutrition.
