Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder until evenly combined, then fold into the wet ingredients.
  4. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll into balls, placing them on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Create a small indentation in the center of each dough ball, then fill with chocolate chips or jam.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until edges are firm, then allow to cool before transferring to a wire rack.
