- 1 pound fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying, as needed
- Dipping sauce (optional), as desired
Instructions
- Add the fresh shrimp to a food processor and blend until coarsely chopped.
- Transfer the chopped shrimp into a bowl, adding breadcrumbs, green onions, egg, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form mixture into patties or cakes. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the shrimp cakes for about 3 to 4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
Notes
Enjoy with a tangy dipping sauce and feel free to customize with different ingredients. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days.
