Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying, as needed
  • Dipping sauce (optional), as desired

Instructions

  1. Add the fresh shrimp to a food processor and blend until coarsely chopped.
  2. Transfer the chopped shrimp into a bowl, adding breadcrumbs, green onions, egg, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form mixture into patties or cakes. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the shrimp cakes for about 3 to 4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

Notes
