- 1 lb boneless chicken thighs
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp ground paprika
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 4 pita breads
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup garlic sauce
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, ground cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, turmeric, and salt and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
- Coat the chicken thighs with the marinade and allow to sit for at least 30 minutes, or refrigerate for a few hours for maximum flavor.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the marinated chicken thighs for about 6-8 minutes on each side until thoroughly cooked. Remove from heat and let rest before slicing.
- Serve the sliced chicken in warm pita bread topped with shredded lettuce, tomato, and onion. Drizzle with garlic sauce.
Notes
For lighter options, swap chicken thighs for skinless breasts or try eggplant for a vegetarian twist.
