- 1 pound Ribeye or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 4 slices Provolone cheese
- 2 large Hoagie rolls
- 4 tablespoons Garlic butter
- 1/2 cup Onions, sliced
- 1/2 cup Green bell peppers, sliced
- To taste Salt and pepper
- 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt 1 tablespoon of garlic butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and green bell peppers, sautéing until softened. Remove and set aside.
- Add remaining garlic butter to the skillet and then add the thinly sliced steak. Season with salt and pepper, cooking until browned and cooked through.
- Open the hoagie rolls and place them on a baking sheet. Fill each roll with the cooked steak mixture, top with sautéed peppers and onions, a slice of provolone cheese, and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for about 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from oven, slice in half, and serve hot.
Notes
Consider using lean turkey or chicken steak for a healthier option, and feel free to experiment with different types of cheese for varied flavor.
