A delightful and moist bread that combines the sweetness of apples and caramel, perfect for autumn gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup diced apples
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  5. Fold in the diced apples.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan and drizzle half of the caramel sauce over it.
  7. Spread the remaining batter on top and swirl in the rest of the caramel sauce.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let the loaf cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For added flavor, serve warm with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
