  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 box yellow cake mix

Instructions

  1. Grease the crockpot generously to prevent sticking.
  2. Layer the sliced apples in the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. Pour the caramel sauce evenly over the apples.
  4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the caramel and apple mixture.
  5. Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix.
  6. Sprinkle cinnamon on top, followed by optional nuts.
  7. Pour water around the edges of the cake mix.
  8. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours, checking for doneness at 4 hours.
  9. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
