- 1 cup Mushrooms, chopped
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 ounces) Crushed tomatoes (canned)
- 2 tablespoons Tomato paste

Instructions
- Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onions and minced garlic. Sauté until the onions are softened and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Incorporate the ground meat into the pot. Cook until browned, stirring frequently to break it apart.
- Add the chopped mushrooms and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until they’re soft.
- Introduce the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Mix everything well.
- Allow the sauce to come to a gentle simmer. Reduce the heat to low and let it cook for at least 30 minutes. For deeper flavor, let it simmer for several hours, stirring occasionally.
- Serve the sauce generously over cooked pasta of your choice, optionally finishing with fresh grated cheese.
