- 2 cups chocolate cake, cubed
- 1 1/2 cups cherries, prepared
- 3/4 cup cherry syrup
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or hazelnuts
Instructions
- Prepare the cake by cutting it into bite-sized cubes and letting it cool if necessary.
- Prepare cherries, slicing them if fresh, and reserve syrup for later use.
- In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Layer chocolate cake cubes in a large glass bowl, drizzle with cherry syrup, then top with cherries and whipped cream. Repeat layers until finished with whipped cream.
- Add toppings of dark chocolate shavings and chopped nuts on top for extra crunch.
